Year 4 at Robertswood brings lots of opportunities for children to thrive.
There are many opportunities to learn outside of the classroom. This includes swimming, Forest School and school trips. By far the most exciting is an overnight residential to Ufton Court.
As part of a varied curriculum, all children are given the opportunity to learn a musical instrument. African drumming, using the Djembe drums, allows them to develop rhythm and the ability to play as a group. This culminates in an end of year performance.
In Year 4, the children continue to develop a love for reading. This is supported by exposure to high quality literature in English and Guided Reading lessons. The books chosen explore different cultures and time periods and allow the children to better understand the world around them.
